I have had more than a few messages from instagram users asking when I will hop back on but I permanently deleted my IG account and will not be back. I had to say no to instagram because it was taking up way too much of my time. Granted, I usually only spent minutes a day a few times a week on there but still, that is time away from the real world. Also, since the recent algorithm change, I wasn’t able to see relevant photos of fellow artists. Before the recent algorithm change, you were able to see what your friends were posting and view relevant artwork. Also, you were able to get many views on your posts by regular people but since the change, it seems instagram is pushing for users to constantly add thousands of more friends and interact with everyone constantly and if you don’t, your profile gets dinged. The constant ads in your IG feed is terrible and the waterfall of photos from people I didn’t even know sealed the deal. I enjoy spending my time in the real world, not in a manufactured digital smoke and mirrors world where I will not get anything out of. If you want to contact me, just send me an email, thanks.
