Fine Arts The New Museum

Fine Arts The New Museum self taught painter who paints in oils landscape painter. I do not have a specific style of painting fine arts because I use whatever I’ve learned or artwork style of painting to achieve the effect needed. This philosophy carries over to my brushes or lack of brushes because I will use any brush or object to achieve a desired look, texture or effect. I usually like to integrate something meaningful in my artwork paintings, representative from which it came from so for example, I’ve used tree bark to create the bark on trees or you will see rocks in the paintings which were created by using actual rocks. When I first started painting years back, the only brushes that I had were two hard plastic bristle brushes which would only scrape through the paint. I learned to practice and use whatever I had available and I firmly believe that practice is your best teacher. All of my paintings are places in my mind, where I would want to be so I do not paint a landscape that I am visually looking at i.e. plein air fine arts painting nor do I paint from images and all of my paintings are painted in my outside studio, with the doors open and sometimes, snow blowing in. The painting below is an acrylic painting.
